Who We Are
One More Candle was created in 2016. As an organization, we are stridently taking steps with respect and sensitivity towards honoring the memory of the 1.5 million children murdered in the Shoah (Holocaust).
What You Can Do
You are offered the opportunity to adopt the memory of a child whose life was cut short by hubris and deep seated human evil. Please understand that taking action in order to bring light to the darkness is a personal choice.
What You Can Learn
The Shoah was a crime against all humankind. Education is a key component in combating the various forms of intolerance that still regrettably persist in our world today.
Adopt A Memory
All we ask is that you honor your adopted child’s memory on the yahrtzeit (the anniversary) of their death each year. If circumstances prevent you from being able to complete this blessing, please consider having your family member continue this tradition.
Our Vision
Our Friends
Light A Candle
Lighting a candle in honor of those who have passed is a centuries old tradition in many faiths allowing expression for what we cannot communicate with words. With each candle, the life of a child who lived, and then perished, is remembered and honored.
Donate
There is no charge to adopt a memory. Donations are graciously accepted and help offset the costs of our website, printed material, and office supplies. All funds collected contribute towards our goal of remembering and honouring the memory of children murdered in the Shoah. We are a registered charity. Tax receipts are available.
Each Shoah (Holocaust) victim has a name. Some names have not been said out loud by a person in over 75 years. One More Candle gives you the opportunity to adopt a memory so that a murdered child has someone to remember that they lived, giving light to the darkness by saying his or her name out loud or by simply lighting just One More Candle every year.
